making full proof

A life surrendered to the work of the Lord does not promise prosperity or popularity; is far from safe; and is never meant to be wasted within the relative comfort of the four walls of a church. He who teaches otherwise has never read the New Testament. One of the last things the Apostle Paul told young Timothy was to “make full proof of thy ministry” (II Timothy 4:5). What does this look like for the Bible-believer today, and is lukewarm churchianity even close to understanding what it means to take up one’s cross and follow Jesus Christ? Below, you will find a collection of short stories from the missionary journeys of Jesse Boyd, a modern-day fanatic called to make the Gospel of Jesus Christ an unavoidable issue for as many people as possible all around the world and just around the corner. Some are simple observations and recapped ironies. Others are outright indictments against the false religion of American churchianity. And, the great majority are simply tales from an eccentric’s attempt at “making full proof.” Perhaps the successes and failures of one during these troubling times of lukewarm apostasy can answer the above questions for many. Enjoy!
