Look to Tyre Jesse M. Boyd

This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship in Conover, NC on March 4, 2018. Our study of similar prophetic sentence against Tyre (e.g. Isaiah 23:16-17) and its historical fulfillment continues so as to aid in better understanding the details of the future judgment against MYSTERY BABYLON. What we learn from examples like Tyre, and what can thereby be applied to a proper understanding of Revelation 17 is that:

  1. God's prophetic judgment is LITERAL.

  2. God's prophetic judgment is fulfilled TO THE LETTER.

  3. The details of God's prophetic judgment are UNFORESEEABLE ahead of time.

  4. The fulfillment of God's prophetic judgment is often a STUMBLING BLOCK to the wicked.

Biblical prophecy as found in Revelation 17, therefore, may not play out as expected but exactly as it is written.

The latter portion of this message digs into Revelation 17:3-4, focusing upon the whore's position atop the scarlet-colored beast (i.e. the puppy form of the beast out of the sea that is described in Revelation 13) and her manifestation with a golden chalice full of filth.
