it begins
Greetings everyone in the name of the Most High God. Tomorrow morning, we will be leaving Hickory, NC and heading for the Atlantic Coast somewhere near Wilmington, NC. On Sunday morning, I plan to stand on the beach with my feet in the water of the Atlantic Ocean and publicly preach the Gospel to the crowds of sunbathing folks who are not spending the Lord's Day in church. Then, I plan to mount my bike and begin pedaling west: Final Destination = Neah Bay, Washington and the Pacific Ocean. To all of you that support us with your prayers and finances, may the divine blessings be returned a hundredfold (Luke 6:38).
Jamie and I found out a couple of weeks ago while on the road somewhere in Texas that she is pregnant. This changes nothing; it only adds an interesting twist to our journeys. We praise God for this and trust Him to care for us and the little one inside of her. Please pray that the morning sickness will not be too bad and that Jamie will be able to maintain focus. Her job of leap-frogging me on the bike will be a difficult one. I look forward to one day telling our child about what his/her parents were doing while he/she was gestating.
As always, please pray that God will give me boldness to speak the truth of the Gospel. I covet the same prayers that Paul coveted in Ephesians 6:19. I also desire discernment to know when to press the truth and when to shake the dust off my feet and move on.
The Father has already provided so much; and we know that he, who has begun a good work in us, will most definitly bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). He is faithful (II Timothy 2:13).
As always, we look forward to informing you about how all this plays out in the next few days. Until next time, we are most affectionately yours for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.
