the millennium, part 1: sabbath rest for the land (revelation 20:7)

This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship on December 1, 2019. It’s principal emphasis is the first half of Revelation 20:7 where the word translated “expired” in the original language necessitates a literal understanding of “the thousand years” and clearly indicates that this time period accomplishes or fulfills something specific with regard to the present earth. To be understand this, the commands given to Israel in the Book of Leviticus concerning the land’s sabbath rest are examined, as is the link between the 70 years of Babylonian Captivity and Israel’s failure to keep those commands.
