“Arise, walk through the land in the LENGTH of it and in the BREADTH of it” (Genesis 13:17).

In March of 2021, we got our feet wet in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and began walking the LENGTH of the United States with a cross and an American flag in distress. More than three years and 8,118 miles later, we reached the Pacific Ocean in Northern California. Along an unbroken route across 20 states and 251 counties, we sounded an alarm, the same alarm sounded by Teddy Roosevelt at the turn of the 20th century:

“No prosperity and no glory can save a nation that is rotten at heart.”

America is and remains in big trouble with the Lord. We must continue to warn them, both Jew and Gentile, in the spirit of watchmen upon a wall (Ezekiel 3:17), walking the BREADTH of this land and crying out to God to bring Holy Ghost revival to America’s churches and spiritual awakening to her streets. Please take a moment and consider the BLUNT TRUTH we proclaim as we take up our cross and put one foot in front of another.

the montana hate crime

On November 12, 2022, after 5,543 miles of walking with an “Are You Ready?” CROSS through 17 states and 210 counties without incident, the FPGM TEAM suddenly fell victim to a violent assault and HATE CRIME on the side of a remote US Highway in Madison County, Montana. They were literally minding their own business at the end of a long day of walking in the bitter cold when suddenly forced to defend themselves and each other from a madman and his buddies who threatened, “Your kind ain’t welcome in Montana.” This hate crime was then furthered by the Madison County Sheriffs Department and aided and abetted by elected officials all the way up to the Attorney General of the State of Montana. Thanks to an anonymous whistleblower who released official police body camera and dash camera footage to the public, however, none of these “good ole boys” got away with it. The Lord fully vindicated and delivered His servants, and the walk continued to the Pacific Ocean. Christian persecution in America is very real.

This elected official’s secretary told a concerned tax paying NC citizen today that if he kept calling office back, asking to speak to the DA, he would be “arrested” for “harassment.” Can you believe that? First they arrest folks for doing nothing (not “operating” a motor vehicle, can’t do that when the vehicle is off, and certainly not a traffic stop). Now they want to arrest them for peaceably exercising a foundational right protected by the First Amendment, the right to petition government for a redress of grievances. Like in Montana, the “conservative red” in these Republican counties is starting to look a lot like BOLSHEVIK RED. But hey, we aren’t intimidated. We know where this elected official parks. If they want to arrest me for peacefully walking by with a cross on public property and politely urging him to do what is lawful and right, then BRING IT ON Gaston County. If they want to keep up this save-face nonsense, we’ll fight them in court and let the court pay for it by appointing public defenders. Worked out quite well in Montana. We fight it. They pay for it. Back at it … a spur route that broke off the main route yesterday in Lincoln County. Yesterday, I passed close to four churches, at least one more today—all within a 10 mile radius. In South Asia where we have labored for years in times past, there is a great swath of territory west of Leh and Kargil in Northern India and stretching all the way into Afghanistan. Within that swath, there has never been a single planted church since Pentecost. Long before we walked a mile across the United States with a cross, we walked quite a few miles with a cross at the eastern edge of that great swath. I saw no churches and encountered no Christians. These days, we see many churches and encounter many “professing” Christians. And yet, the land seems here as spiritually parched as it is physically west of Leh and Kargil. #thelongwalkusa

Nearly four years ago, at the beginning of #TheLongWalkUSA, America was in big trouble with the LORD. She remains that way today, and we must continue to warn them, both Jew and Gentile, in the spirit of watchmen upon a wall (Ezekiel 3:17), walking the BREADTH of this land and crying out to God to bring Holy Ghost revival to America’s churches and spiritual awakening to her streets. Last Friday, accompanied by my brother Matthew, I walked the first “breadth” or SPUR off #TheLongWalkUSA main route, carrying the cross and a U.S. flag in distress. While several from our local church joined up with other brethren to lift up voices outside the Planned Parenthood in Asheville, North Carolina, we walked from that death mill through Asheville to the junction with the Blue Ridge Parkway off US 25, a 6-mile spur. We navigated some extensive Helene damage up close, gave out pairs fresh socks to the poor, prayed with a couple of folks, and even gave a Bible to Janet on her front porch. She slept through Helene and woke up to see the water right up to her front porch. It never came into the house. A recently elected county commissioner from Polk County saw us walking and turned back to speak with us. We prayed with her concerning her husband who was undergoing a surgical procedure in a nearby hospital. She feared God and loved Jesus. Leon, working the Goodwill drop-off site needed prayer as well. He took a Gospel tract. #thelongwalkusa

This is an original ticket for the 1904 Republican National Convention in Chicago. Incumbent Teddy Roosevelt was easily nominated and chose Charles Fairbanks of Indiana as his running mate. Roosevelt went on to win-reelection. This tickets features a bust of William McKinley on the front, a memorial to the humble man with a stalwart Christian faith who had been assassinated by a lone-wolf terrorist in the Fall of 1901, propelling Roosevelt, his vice-president, into the Presidency. Roosevelt remains the youngest man ever to become President. This ticket was given to me by a boxing coach in Nebraska. We crossed paths on #TheLongWalkUSA, and I shared with him one of my walking preacher Gospel tracts featuring a poignant alarm sounded by Teddy Roosevelt at the Minnesota State Fair just four days before McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo, NY: “No prosperity and no glory can save a nation that is rotten at heart.” This coach, like me, was a fan of Teddy Roosevelt and had some very interesting and old memorabilia from Roosevelt’s Administration. He invited me back to his coaching office, and we talked for a while about the things of the Lord and the morally rotten spiritual state of our nation. As I was preparing to leave, he pulled out this original ticket and gave it to me as a token of our time together. I consider it to be a great treasure. Note the interesting and strange spiral pattern featured on the back. I have no idea concerning its purpose. #thelongwalkusa

Greetings, beloved brethren, in the name of the Promised Messiah. His name is JESUS, “for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). I trust you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with much cause for thanksgiving, and I pray this Advent Season brings you much joy and reflection upon what is most important: JESUS CHRIST IS COMING. That inescapable inevitability has been true since the Garden of Eden, was true that quiet night in Bethlehem, and remains true today. Regardless of when, where, and how America falls, THE FUTURE IS CHRIST. Joy to the world!

Greetings, dear friends! I have a question. It’s the same question the famous Baptist missionary Adoniram Judson asked after the LORD turned his captivity from harsh persecution in Burma in 1826. It’s also the same question the Psalmist asked under inspiration of the Holy Ghost: “What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me (Psalm 116:12)?” Your prayers I requested back in July for wisdom and discernment were all answered with EXCLAMATION. We have much for which to be thankful.
