On March 1, 2021, we put feet in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and began walking across the United States, in the spirit of watchmen upon a wall (Ezekiel 3:17). 8,118 miles later, on October 10, 2024, we put our feet in the Pacific Ocean at Humboldt Lagoons State Park in Northern California. America is and remains in BIG TROUBLE with the Lord. We must continue to warn them, both Jew and Gentile. And, we must cry out to God to bring revival to America’s churches and spiritual awakening to her streets. Please take a moment and consider the BLUNT TRUTH we proclaimed as we took up our cross and put one foot in front of another, the same truth we shall continue to herald in all our comings and goings, both at home and abroad.

This is the ministry iPhone that was stolen from Eric Trent by Madison County Deputy Daniel Wyatt on 11.12.2022. None of the rest of us falsely charged and arrested for obeying Montana Law to-the-letter had our phones confiscated. When inquiry was made with the Sheriff’s Department after our release from jail, Sergeant Alec Winn stated over the phone: “We don’t give property back to criminals.” Well, when this department was profoundly embarrassed two years later with the dismissal of all charges “in the interest of justice,” we got this phone and all the rest of our confiscated property back. Miraculously, the iPhone battery health was 100% after sitting dead for 2 years in Virginia City. As soon as we got back to NC I got a message from Kathmandu expressing a need for a phone for a Nepali pastor. This faithful brother had been using an iPhone 6s, and it finally died. Now, this special iPhone 11pro held captive by Madison County is on its way to Nepal where it will be used for some time to come just as it was being used the day Dan Wyatt thought he got himself a new phone. Our Lord truly does have a sense of humor. We honestly thought we’d never see it again, and now it’s headed to a faraway land to bless a good and faithful Nepali brother in Christ. It’s a fine Fall afternoon for a family stroll on the Cloninger Rail Trail through Lincolnton. So good to be back home in the South, and a guy who just walked across the United States has got to keep walking if he wants his legs to keep working. #thelongwalkusa

I’m having a lot of fun wearing the infamous “hate crime pants” around town. That’s Terrell’s blood sprinkled on the left knee. That big blood spot near the right foot is mine. I talked a little about this in a great interview last night with a firearms instructor and host of “Defenders Live” out of Whitehall, Montana. It will air December 4th, and I’ll put the link out when I have it. We got into a lot of good stuff about self-defense and even some more important spiritual truth. The host couldn’t understand why I let Terrell punch me at least twice before I acted to defend myself. It’s simple. I can take a hit, no big deal. Secondly, I was injured at the time. Fighting back was a last resort. Thirdly, and perhaps most important: In a lawless and godless society, the street preacher is ALWAYS wrong in the eyes of the world and law enforcement. It’s therefore better to act in a way that erases all doubt as to who threw the first punch. Terrell threw a lot of punches that day. I threw one good kick to the face, hence the nosebleed on my pants. As you can see from my mugshot, not a single one of his blows was a direct hit. My response was 💯% defensive. God gave us victory that day. None of us got hurt, and because we love Jesus, Terrell escaped with just a nose bleed instead of taking two to the chest (His words on bodycam: “I got punched in this nose. That’s what happened”). I still praise God for that. The real hate crime occurred in what followed with those dirty cops. They must be held accountable. Stay tuned for a great show on December 4th. I put this walking preacher Gospel tract on display in the Conover, NC post office nearly a year ago. I just came back after a 5-month absence, and to my surprise, it was still there. We put a cross we carried through Kashmir’s Nubra Valley up on a remote hillside with cement once. It only stayed 6 months. Sheer profundity. #thelongwalkusa

This is Judge Hupp, a retired Virginia Circuit Court Judge who occasionally gets called up to travel and substitute around the State. Ahead of tomorrow’s docket in a nearby county, he came to enjoy a little peace and quiet on the grounds of Appomattox Courthouse. He was having a little car trouble in the parking lot, so the Lord had me lend him a hand. I ended up having the tools to solve the issue only to discover that he was a Judge AND that we are both direct descendants of Confederate veterans who served in General Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, the same army that laid down its arms on these grounds on April 9, 1865. Here’s the strange part. He was born the same year as my dad, and it was his grandfather. It was my great, great, great grandfather. I believe he told me his grandpa was 68 years old when his mom was born, and she was 43 when he was born. I spoke a bit about my recent walk across America and the spiritual rot of our country. His response was a pleasant surprise. He said, “I’m a Christian and just have to keep reminding myself, ‘Though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the ruler yet.” I replied, “Judge Hupp, those are words from my favorite verse of my favorite hymn!” Praise God there are still some good judges out there. I got to sit down and talk with one in Montana recently, and I met another today a stone’s throw from where General Lee sat down to talk with General Grant. We also witnessed to a couple from Cape Hatteras as I explained to them why their hometown will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was the starting line of #TheLongWalkUSA. Now, my lovely wife and I are enjoying an afternoon coffee together at an old book shop in downtown Appomattox before making the 4-hour drive home. The barista said she likes my shirt, and I told her it matched the sticker on my mug. It’s been a fun couple of days with my sweetheart of 27 years. She puts up with my county highpoints and Civil War buffing :)

These are STILL days of distress. And the LORD has a message for all Americans who ignore the spiritual rot while holding up the political clout. It’s the same message He gave to Edom through Obadiah the Prophet: “Neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress … For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen” (vs 12, 15). My flag stays upside down as long as peaceful Christians are political prisoners, as long as the innocent blood of the little babies is poured out upon the ground, as long as whoremongering and sodomy is celebrated in the streets , and as long as my fellow-citizens live and boast as if God is an American who takes sides in the political affairs of fallen men. “God’s not an American. He’s not even a Republican” (Keith Green). Take that to the failing banks. #thelongwalkusa

“In the winter of ‘65, we were hungry, just barely alive. By May the 10th, Richmond had fell. It’s a time I remember oh so well. The night they drove old Dixie down, and the bells were ringin’ … “ (The Band). I took my lovely wife on a date to an IDF Iron Dome Battery in Israel once. Today, we went on an all-day date following General Lee’s Retreat route from Petersburg. We’ll hit up Appomattox tomorrow. There’s no better outdoor autumn walk than one in the South. I must admit, the last thing I care about this night is some election. I’m simply too overwhelmed with gratitude to God to have finally made it home. After 5 long months, a 1600-mile walking leg, and 20,000 miles on the SAG odometer, I finally get to sit quietly on my own couch beside my lovely wife and just hang out with my family. My wife fixed a lovely meal; my mother joined us for dinner; and I now get to go pick up my daughter from work. Happiness is only real when it’s shared, and living joyfully in the fear of the Lord with my loved ones is the sweetest revenge against the politics of a nation far from God. Thanks for all your prayers while we were out on the road and on the field. We have returned victorious and vindicated. The victory is not mine; it’s yours. #thelongwalkusa

One last night on the ground before my own bed. It’s been 5 months since I’ve been in my own bed. Funny, this spot in the Daniel Boone National Forest is just 2 air miles from the 2000-mile spot on #thelongwalkusa. And, what’s a long journey home without a few county highpoints and an Uzbek feast with friends? I think we finally bedded down around 2am. Glory to God.

How in the world did we end up in the Chicago suburbs in the middle of afternoon traffic? Guess it’s time to find a coffee shop, take a deep breath, and seek an answer to such questions. We are no longer in the world of local coffee huts in every town. Gonna be a long night. #thelongwalkusa

Out here walking around the federal prison in Thomson, IL in honor of our dear brother, Calvin Zastrow, who is unjustly imprisoned inside for loving his unborn and neighbors here in America. We are calling these our “Encore Miles.” The “Victory Mile” was in Madison County, MT. These encore miles with both crosses are in Carroll County, IL in honor of our persecuted brethren here in America, whose examples emboldened us to stand firm and reject all plea deals in Montana. Our case is dismissed, but many others are not. Remember our brethren in bonds here in America as being in bonds with them. This is Christianity 101. #thelongwalkusa

It seems I got at least one vote in Montana for “Attorney General.” I have no idea who cast this ballot, but hey, I’m truly honored. Should I be elected, LOL, I’ll gladly aid, assist, and support any effort to restore the GRAND JURY in Montana, and my office will immediately be opening up some investigations into some horribly corrupt sheriffs departments, beginning in Madison and Cascade Counties. This is the Bell Benchmark. At 3720 feet in elevation, it’s the highest point in Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota. We climbed it today in honor of our friend Justin Clearwater, grandson of Frank Clearwater who was murdered by the United States federal government at Wounded Knee in 1973. It’s so great to have places to stay all the way home, to wrestle with my favorite K9 in all of America, and to reconnect with folks who were complete strangers to us as we walked through with the cross, now friends for life in Christ. Last night and tonight with old friends. This afternoon, we are stopping by to see a Wyoming family who opened their home to us long ago, and Friday night, a precious widow lady who opened her home to us in Nebraska is excited to again put us up for the night. Christian hospitality toward strangers is rare these days, but it is not dead. Readily obey Hebrews 13:2, and you MAY entertain angels unaware. You WILL make new friends for life! Cold but beautiful morning on the Yellowstone River. As for me and my house in these dark and troublesome times, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15). And you know, no matter what happens next Tuesday, the Yellowstone will still flow into the Missouri, the Missouri will still flow into the Mississippi, and Old Man River will still flow into the sea. #thelongwalkusa

It was a great night in Miles City, MT after a long drive from Cody, WY navigating a little bit of a morning snow storm. We tagged the highest point in Yellowstone County, a spot on Stratford Hill with a benchmark and a little cemetery, grabbed a coffee in Billings, and then buzzed over to Miles for a wonderful BBQ and good fellowship with brethren I wouldn’t even know if it hadn’t been for the 11.12.22 hate crime on US 287. This is my girl! I am so proud of her. Most of her great qualities she gets from here mama. My BB stood her ground against a much more powerful foe, the State of Montana, and the Lord gave her complete victory. The same can be said for Carter Phillips and Eric Trent. These are heroes in my book, heroes of the faith in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation among whom they shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:15). After a cold autumn afternoon on the crag, it’s a blessing to know where sits a good coffee shop with a nice vibe. A little over a year ago, we walked right through this town, and we have friends here now, once complete strangers who actually practiced Christian Hospitality 101 and opened their home to us.
