the two babylons (revelation 17-18)

This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship in Conover, NC on February 11, 2018. The focus is a general introduction to chapters 17-18, the judgment of the world system, both "MYSTERY BABYLON" and "Babylon the great." These chapters are an aside or detailed description of sorts concerning what was announced in Revelation 14:8 and what was pronounced in Revelation 16:19. This message revisits the nature of biblical prophecy and cross-references Zechariah 5:5-11 to shed light on a proper understanding of these two difficult chapters. Regardless of whether or not we understand the fine details of these future prophetic judgments (and the extent to which the Roman Catholic Church is involved), when they fall, they will have been fulfilled to the very letter, even to the jot and the tittle. Such is the nature of biblical prophecy demonstrated in history time and time again.
