introducing the great whore (revelation 17:1-2)

This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship in Conover, NC on February 18, 2018. Following the general outline of a commentary written by Jesse Boyd on Revelation 17 back in 1996, the focus is upon the angel's introducing of the great whore (vs. 1-2). The similar prophetic sentences declared upon Nineveh and Tyre contained in Nahum 3:4 and Isaiah 23:16-17 respectively are cross-referenced, and the historical fulfillments of these prophecies are analyzed so as to aid in understanding the details of the future judgment upon the world system, both its religious and commercial elements.
