This message was preached at New Testament Christian Fellowship on December 15, 2019. The focus is sabbath rest for the earth, the present creation, one of the primary purposes of “the thousand years” following 6,000 years of toil from the Fall of Man. As the writer of Hebrews makes clear to those in Christ already enjoying spiritual rest (cf. 4:3): “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God” (Hebrews 4:9).
